Enjoy, it’s from Europe Culinary fruit discovery trip to Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus The European Union supports the enjoyment of European fruit with the two campaigns "Get a Fruit" and "Refresh Your Life". Under the slogan "Enjoy, it's from Europe," the aim is to bring back the taste for local European fruit. This is being done within the larger framework of the European Green Deal, which envisions Europe becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. To mark the occasion, a culinary voyage of discovery with chef and TV chef Roberto Enßlen took place at the leading Fruit Logistica trade fair in Berlin, which was all about European fruit. On two evenings, he created creative menus based on original recipes from Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus, using fruit from these countries. Likewise, Roberto Enßlen created exciting smoothies with the fruits. Both the dishes and the drinks focused on mandoras (a cross between oranges and tangerines), peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, cherries and apples. In addition, the nutritionist Tomma Günther rounded off the event on the second evening with a presentation on the latest scientific findings on nutrition with fruits. The project "Get a fruit" is an information project in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Croatia to promote fresh fruit as part of a healthy diet. The following organizations participate in the program: Association of Imathia's Agricultural Cooperatives - producer organization (ASIAC) - coordinator from Greece, Asociatia Producatorilor de fructe din sud Fructprod (FRUCTPROD) - project partner from Romania. The project "Refresh your life" involves the implementation of information and promotional activities to promote fresh fruits and vegetables in the internal market of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. The Bulgarian National Horticultural Union (BNHU), PRODCOM Romania, the Union of Greek Chambers (UHCC) with a total of 59 chambers and Panagrotikos Cyprus participate in this program.
