Munich, Germany – The Smarter E Europe 2026 kicked off in Munich, Germany. Exhibiting alongside Midea Energy at their joint booth, CLOU Electronics unveiled two new liquid-cooled energy storage systems: the lightweight Aqua C3.0 Ultra utility-scale system and the Aqua E261 commercial & industrial system. The firm also showcased its full-stack AIDC energy solution and premiered its White Paper on Cell-level DC-DC Energy Transfer Technology for overseas audiences. Backed by self-developed full-stack storage technologies and Midea’s industrial chain synergy, CLOU demonstrated its end-to-end energy storage strengths tailored for Europe via cutting-edge hardware, proprietary innovations, and all-in-one integrated energy offerings.

Aqua C3.0 Ultra: Breakthroughs in Energy Density for Utility-scale Energy Storage Systems

Targeting the utility-scale energy storage segment, the next-generation Aqua C3.0 Ultra energy storage system delivers 5.154 MWh of capacity in a compact 10-foot container, with a total system weight of less than 39 tons. Compared to 20-foot containerized systems of 5MWh, 6.251MWh, and 7MWh+, the product achieves the optimal balance of capacity, dimensions, and weight, significantly reducing logistics costs, site footprint, and installation complexity, while accelerating full-site deployment. For projects requiring ocean shipping, it offers significant advantages in overall station construction costs.

Featuring 587 Ah cells, Aqua C3.0 Ultra is available in two configurations—DC/AC All-In-One version and DC version. This product series features CLOU's 3rd-generation pack design, reducing components by 30 % compared to the previous generation. The DC version achieves an industry-leading energy density of 535 kWh/m². The DC/AC All-In-One version incorporates CLOU's second-generation SiC string PCS, cutting inverter volume by 50 %. With a system energy density of 480 kWh/m², both specifications represent industry-leading benchmarks.

Aqua-E261 C&I Energy Storage System: Ultimate Safety and Higher Return

For C&I application scenarios, the Aqua-E261 liquid-cooled energy storage system is suitable for massive C&I users in Europe for its high safety, high return, and easy O&M characteristics. The device adopts 314Ah high-energy-density battery cells with a single cabinet capacity of 261kWh. It implements quadruple safety protection from the battery cells to the system, and achieves an overall cell temperature difference of ≤2.5°C through pack-level and cell-level balanced cooling. CLOU's intelligent temperature control technology achieves ultra-low static losses and reduces auxiliary power consumption by 30 %; the high-performance PCS achieves efficient energy conversion and is coupled with the EMS intelligent scheduling strategy to achieve maximum system efficiency of ≥90 %, forming outstanding advantages in European markets with high labor costs.

Midea Energy Showcases AIDC Solution to Enable Computing–Power Coordination

At the exhibition, Midea Energy presented its end-to-end integrated energy solution for AI data center scenarios. Centered on six core modules — direct green power supply, energy storage buffering, solid-state transformer-based power conversion, full-stack liquid cooling, waste heat recovery, and computing–power coordination — the solution strengthens the energy foundation for AI data centers.

As the core platform of the AIDC energy solution, CLOU Electronics combines Midea’s strengths in cooling, intelligent manufacturing, and global supply chains with its own expertise in power electronics and energy storage. Integrating energy storage systems, HVDC, SST, BBU, and Midea’s maglev liquid-cooling chillers, the solution provides a one-stop, end-to-end energy architecture for next-generation supercomputing centers.

Breakthrough Technology Redefines Long-Term Value in Energy Storage

Except for product innovations, CLOU has also made key breakthroughs in underlying technology fields. As energy storage systems evolve to 500Ah and above large-capacity cells, even tiny consistency deviations among cells will translate into greater actual energy differences, resulting in reduced available system capacity and frequent O&M interventions, and ultimately affecting the long-term profitability of energy storage assets.

In response to this pain point in the industry, CLOU released the White Paper on Cell-Level DC-DC Energy Transfer Technology globally for the first time at the exhibition to unveil the exclusive underlying core technology. This technology establishes a two-way energy scheduling channel among battery cells to support up to 5A currents. It is coupled with real-time dynamic scheduling algorithms to evaluate the SOC, capacity, and voltage deviation of battery cells comprehensively, and adjust the regulation strategy under different operating conditions adaptively to achieve the continuous online management of battery cell consistency. Unlike conventional passive balancing that relies on manual intervention for periodic repair, this technology can participate continuously in regulation during system operation, turning consistency management from "after-the-fact rectification" to "full-time scheduling", and increasing the full-lifecycle recurring revenue by about 4 %.

Strategic Upgrading: Midea Energy's Overseas Engine Deployed in Europe Officially

This exhibition is an important part of the official overseas appearance of Midea Group's New Energy Division. In addition to its separate booth, CLOU also appeared at the "Midea Energy" booth set up by Midea Group as a core member to present the integrated strength of the group's new energy business segment around all scenarios, links, and values based on Midea's full-industry-chain advantages.

Backed by Midea's full-industry-chain resources, CLOU Electronics has built core competencies in the four dimensions of technologies, branding, services, and shareholders. As the core implementer of Midea Energy's overseas strategy, CLOU specializes in one-stop comprehensive energy solutions and is committed to becoming a long-term partner in Europe's energy transition based on the demand of European customers for long-term cooperation and full-lifecycle services by getting out of the conventional device sales model.

As a BNEF Tier 1 provider in energy storage systems and PCS, CLOU has signed energy storage projects totaling over 16GWh globally, including over 1.5GWh in Europe. Its large-scale energy storage projects have been implemented in multiple European countries, including Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, and North Macedonia, and it has over 50 C&I energy storage sites in Europe, including the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Looking ahead, CLOU will continue to leverage Midea Group’s end-to-end resources and global delivery capabilities to serve as a long-term partner in Europe’s energy transition. The company will help customers lower their levelized cost of energy and enhance asset value, while working with partners to build a greener, more resilient, and sustainable next-generation power system across Europe.
